Announcing Telehealth Services

Patients of Prism Health North Texas:

Your providers are pleased to announce that telehealth and telepsychiatry visits* with audio and video communication will be available beginning Monday, April 6, 2020. These virtual visits are an important service to keep you safe, allowing you to avoid travel and slow down the spread of COVID-19.

Please call to schedule your visit with your provider just like you would normally do. A receptionist at your clinic site will assist you in making an appointment. Providers will have specific appointment slots each week available for telehealth. PHNTX will send you the usual reminders of two text messages and two emails to confirm your upcoming visit.

Urgent visits, COVID-19 testing, STI testing, PrEP initial visits, initial behavioral health visits, some psychiatry visits, and HIV initial visits will continue to be in-person visits. The nursing staff will remain available to assist with your medical needs. The behavioral health team also remains available if you are experiencing increased anxiety or depression related to COVID-19.

We hope that most routine follow-up visits can be accomplished with telehealth visits. You will be able to speak with your own provider, report home monitoring of blood pressure (if available), weight, temperature, blood sugar, discuss labs, and request refills.

Providers will make follow-up visits (virtual or in-person), lab appointments, and order diagnostic tests. You will be informed of symptoms that you need to monitor and what to do if your symptoms worsen.

Our entire healthcare team is here for you during this difficult time. Please also let us know if your financial situation changes as our case managers, insurance assistance, and eligibility coordinators all remain available to assist you.

Do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions and please stay safe.
